Photo by See-Tennessee.com Bledsoe County, formed in 1807, is named in honor of Anthony Bledsoe, who fought in the Revolutionary War. Fall Creek Falls State Park is located along the border of Bledsoe and Van Buren counties. The park has more than 19,000 acres of magnificent gorges, wildlife, recreational trails, and several waterfalls, including the park's namesake waterfall. The county consists of about 400 square miles largely unspoiled by development. Towns and communities located in Bledsoe are Pikeville, the county seat, and Mount Crest. |
